Printed Matter presents the thirteenth annual NY Art Book Fair, from September 21 – 23, 2018, at MoMA PS1, Long Island City, Queens. The preview will be held on the evening of Thursday, September 20.

Printed Matter’s NY Art Book Fair (NYABF) is the leading international gathering for the distribution of artists’ books, celebrating the full breadth of the art publishing community. Free and open to the public, the event draws more than 35,000 individuals including book lovers, collectors, artists, and art world professionals each year. In 2018, the NYABF will host 365 exhibitors from around the world featuring a wide variety of works – from zines and artists’ books to antiquarian books and contemporary art editions. The NYABF offers countless opportunities to attend free programs including artist-led discussions, performances, interactive workshops, and curated exhibitions.

Please join us at The Rack Shack to celebrate the release of Ginger Issue 13, featuring Catherine Azimi, Craig Calderwood, Niko Darling, Devin Dougherty, Marie Hinson, Courtney Kessel + Danielle Wyckoff, Katy McCarthy, Kaitlin McDonough, Annelie McKenzie, Meredith Sellers, Caitlin Rose Sweet, and Misian Taylor. 

Print copies will be available, as well as refreshments. 

The Rack Shack is an all inclusive bra boutique in Bushwick Brooklyn that aims to empower all shapes, colors and genders. Bra sizes 28A-38HH and everything in between. LGBTQ friendly, everyone is welcome.

We are excited to participate in the New York Queer Zine Fair on Saturday, October 21, alongside more than 40 queer artists, zine makers. collectives and publishers from around the world.

It will take place second floor of the NY LGBT Center - Room 201A, The Keith Haring Bathroom and of course the Bureau of General Services-Queer Division.

7-8:30 Panel: Friendship, Social Activism, and Creative Practice. Orit Gat, Jessica Lynne, Rebecca Jampol, and Jasmine Wahi will discuss how social groups impact artistic and activist practice, production, and exhibition.

Pre-Protest Preparation

There is a call for a General Strike on Inauguration Day. No school, no work, no shopping. We invite you to participate in the strike while actively preparing for the Women's March on January 21.

On January 20, drop-in to Theodore:Art (56 Bogart) for pre-protest poster making and reading texts of resistance. ALL ARE WELCOME! 

We will provide:
-some poster-making supplies
-tips for protesting safely and effectively
-really good tea

Please bring:
-additional poster-making supplies
-your favorite and most inspiring text of resistance
-mug for tea
